LOS SANTOS TRIADS
The Los Santos Triads, also known as the Wei Cheng Triad, are a large Chinese crime syndicate in Los Santos County. They like to present themselves as the
most powerful gang of Los Santos.
The Los Santos Triads are one of many branches
of the Triad - transnational organized crime syndicate
based in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
and in countries with significant Chinese
populations, such as the United States, Canada,
Vietnam,Korea, Japan, Singapore,
the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Thailand, the United Kingdom,
Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, France,
Spain, South Africa, Australia, Brazil and
New Zealand.
Their colors are red and
they have a Chinese
Dragon as a symbol.
Triads use numeric codes
to distinguish ranks and
positions within the gang.
The numbers are inspired by
Chinese numerology and
based on the I Ching.
The leader has the most points
and is called the Dragon Master.
The whole enormously
big and unimaginably powerful
Triad is led by Wei Cheng,
the adoptive father of Kuai Liang.
They have affiliations with O'Neil Brothers, Kkangpae, Madrazo Cartel, Ballas. They provide supply delivery to many bars and clubs, such as Bahama Mamas.
Triads engage in a variety of crimes, such as extortion, protection, murder, assault, racketeering, contract killing, human trafficking, prostitution, illegal gambling, loan sharking, counterfeiting, copyright infringement, kidnapping, robbery, Hong Kong film and music industries, drug trafficking, police and political corruption, money laundering, arms trafficking, health care fraud and online fraud.
Their territories in Los Santos are Little Seoul, Vespucci Canals and Elysian Island.
Triad members participate in initiation ceremonies.
A typical ceremony takes place at an altar dedicated to Guan Yu, with incense and an animal sacrifice. After drinking a mixture of wine and blood (from the animal or the candidate), the member passes beneath an arch of swords while reciting the Triad's oaths. The paper on which the oaths are written will be burnt on the altar to confirm the member's obligation to perform his duties to the Gods. Three fingers of the left hand are raised as a binding gesture. The Triad initiate is required to adhere to 36 oaths.
